President Duda of Poland Visits Washington's Headquarters
October 2, 2017
While in the United States, Andrzej Duda, President of Poland, visited Washington's Headquarters State Historic Site on Thursday, September 21st. After speaking at the United Nations and West Point Military Academy, President Duda and his staff chose to learn about our history...right here in Newburgh! This is the first time that Poland's President has visited one of our State Historic Sites. Another first for the first publicly owned historic site in the Nation, which opened in 1850.

Stony Kill Trail Project & Closure

As of April 1, 2017, work has started on the new trail at Stony Kill Falls in Minnewaska State Park Preserve. Once complete, the trail will provide safe access to one of the park's spectacular waterfalls.

Chaela Johnson has been chosen as the winner of the 2017 Newburgh Volunteer Fair Poster Contest. Chaela’s poster design will be used as the official poster promoting the upcoming Newburgh Volunteer Fair, which takes place on Saturday, April 29th at Washington's Headquarters.
