Fingerboard Shelter Closure
July 27, 2016
The Park is continuing the effort to address the needed restoration of trail shelters throughout the park. Over the last two summers we have restored West Mountain Shelter and Letterrock/Brien Memorial Shelter. The Park is planning to do restoration work on the Fingerboard Shelter this Summer. The tentative time frame for this restoration work will be August 1 to September 30, 2016 . The work will involve the replacement of the deck in the shelter, fire place repair and the replacement and repair of the roof. During this restoration there will be times the shelter will not be open to the public.

We are hoping to minimize the time the shelter will be closed.

Fingerboard Shelter is planned to be closed for a period of August 1 thru September 30th. This is a tentative time frame for the work. Please be sure to check back for updates. The area surrounding the shelter is still available for tent camping. We appreciate your patience while we work to improve the shelter for everyone's safety and enjoyment!
