2017 Volunteer Fair Poster Contest Winner
February 23, 2017
Chaela Johnson has been chosen as the winner of the 2017 Newburgh Volunteer Fair Poster Contest. Chaela, a student in the 9th Grade at Newburgh Free Academy, is a member of Newburgh Girl Power. Chaela’s poster design will be used as the official poster promoting the upcoming Newburgh Volunteer Fair. The winning poster, along with the posters of four finalists, is currently on display in the Community Gallery at Washington’s Headquarters. They will remain on view through the Newburgh Volunteer Fair, being held at Washington’s Headquarters State Historic Site on Saturday, April 29th.

The annual Newburgh Volunteer Fair offers not-for-profit organizations in the greater Newburgh area an opportunity to raise awareness of the great and important services they offer to the local community. These organizations rely upon volunteers to assist in their endeavors. Organization representatives provide information and are available to recruit new volunteers who wish to join their efforts. The Newburgh Volunteer Fair is coordinated by Washington’s Headquarters, Safe Harbors of the Hudson, and the Newburgh Free Library.

More information about the 2017 Volunteer will be provided in the next few weeks. If your organization is interested in participating, please contact Elyse Goldberg (845) 562-1195.
